Comenity bank victoria's secret card
My anxiety is clearly getting the best of me but I am just really scared. I am not a huge shopper of VS, I get bras like 1-2 times a year in batches of 2-4. I had no idea this was a credit card, VS even told me that she should have briefed me. I have never done something like this before. Have I screwed myself over? People open these Angels cards all the time, surely this isn't some colossal screw up.Īny advice, or directions on where to go from here would be great. I am really scared that I have fucked up my life by unknowingly getting this card. The options I have heard so far are:ġ) Close the card immediately and damage your creditĢ) Pay off the card (which I did immediately once I realized what had happened) and don't use it, which will damage your creditģ) Use the card and pay the bills on time each month and this won't damage your credit? I want to minimize damage being done to my credit. The card is with Comenity Bank I do not even know who that is. I am usually a very responsible person, never borrow money, have no loans, nothing like that. I have heard horror stories of bad credit ruining you for life, etc. I do not want a new credit card, I have no need for this VS credit card, I am scared shitless. I do take responsibility for being naive, but I am moving past that now.Īnyway, so I "signed up" for the card and she was like "Okay, here's all your new credit card info, it'll be shipped to you in a week." I was floored. Not once did she tell me what it truly is or explain to me all of the cons of it. As I have done that sort of thing before with zero consequences. I literally just thought it would be some type of points card, that is it.

What happened: I went to VS to buy a couple of bras and at checkout the lady asked me if I wanted to take 15 dollars off by signing up for VS Angels. I have called Victoria's Secret's customer service line and got some somewhat helpful information, but I would also like to know where else to look.
